Speaker 1: Hey there, welcome to another edition of Gemba Live. So, we are in South Bend, Indiana. So, well anyhow, yesterday, we had an incredible with Daman products. One thing that you're gonna hear again and again is one word and that word is trust.

Speaker 2: I think it's trust. From what I've seen the entire time that I've worked at Daman, which is going on 31 years. They've always trusted their employees and it's just having confidence that people are gonna do the right things and giving 'em the opportunity to do it.

Speaker 3: I've never been treated so nicely by an employer.

Speaker 1: Wow.

Speaker 4: The Daman executive team about 2002-ish, finally said, "We're gonna let go. We're gonna trust. We're gonna believe." And we just took the reigns from there.

Speaker 5: We are people-driven. We are driven by us. It's not one person. It's not Larry making us do it. We function on our own.

Speaker 6: It was almost a shock to me. It took me a while to get acclimated to the environment. To just have that sense of freedom and ownership that was given to me was something that I'd never experienced before.

Speaker 7: Number one, having the upper level, the ownership, the top management driving it down. If they're not fully engaged and fully want that to happen, it's gonna be very difficult.

Speaker 1: So what's your experience so far at Damon? Is it like a different type of place than-

Speaker 8: I've never worked for a company like this before.

Speaker 1: Like what's different about it?

Speaker 8: Honestly, everything. The way they treat their employees to just the hiring process itself.

Speaker 1: What was that like?

Speaker 8: I felt needed.
