I didn't know what to do, I didn't know where to start. I had no idea where I was going to live. On top of being young, and pregnant etcetera, not having a family to make you believe in and trust.

I became couch to couch, that's because I chose a different direction in life and I realized that I didn't have any support. Your decisions now effect your future. And if you don't know the right decision to make sometimes and you don't have that support to make those decisions, if you don't know what's going to happen. So, this is a very unique organization.

A lot of people think the Youth Service Bureau is just for homeless children, to feed the homeless children. They don't see it for kids who don't have support, who have nothing, who end up messing up and they're so young and they matter too. You don't see it for kids who have worked because they had to.

They have their young moms program, they have their transitional living program, they have the state safe station, they have literally everything, I mean they have people that can care. That's what it is to care. And without showing an ounce of care or love in the world, what would we have? It's not a handout. It's what are you doing for yourself? Let us help you make a decision. Let us help you understand. We're not here to help you, we're going to be here for you. You can't help anyone who doesn't want to help themselves.

Not even a year later, I bought my first home. I could not have done that without Youth Service Bureau, without helping with my judgment, without rekindling my relationship with my family, without any of that.

Thank you to Youth Service Bureau, I love them, I will tell anybody in this world that if you need help, you need direction, you need to come see them. If you don't know what to do, if you feel like you don't have anybody, you do.
