NFPA's Fluid Power Challenges

The NFPA has expanded their Fluid Power Challenge to include the Action Challenge, Robotics Challenge and Vehicle Challenge. The original Fluid Power Challenge, now called the Action Challenge, is for middle school students who work in teams to design and build a fluid power machine, and then compete with other teams in a timed competition.

Daman has been a proud sponsor of the Action Challenge  since 2010. Our next competition starts in January 2017.

  • Workshop Days - January 12-13, 2017

  • Challenge Day - March 3, 2017

The Robotics Challenge is a scholarship program for high school students who participated in the 2017 FIRST® Robotics Competition. In support of the  FIRST® mission, NFPA will be awarding one merit-based scholarship of $10,000 per year for four years to a high school student to be used for an Engineering course of study.

The Vehicle Challenge, for college students, is a STEM competition that challenges college engineering students to redesign a traditional bicycle using hydraulics as the mode of power transmission.
